<p>Jubilee welcomes Jon Landis as our preacher today.  Jon is pastor of a Mennonite Church in Mobile, Alabama, and the brother of Jeff Landis.  Welcome to Jubilee!
 
<p>Today is the first Sunday of Advent.  Advent is the season before Christmas when we anticipate what Jesus' coming meant for the world and means for us.  Today we light the first Advent Candle, which symbolizes the hope that Jesus’ birth will bring.

<p>Jr. Youth will have a lock-in on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.  Please bring a snack or a drink to share.  Hotdogs will be provided.  Further details to come.  If you have questions, please contact Matt Graybill.

<p>Needing to de-clutter your house?  Bring your old clothes, neglected toys, used furniture, and any other odds and ends for the youth garage sale this spring.  Storage for the garage sale is set up in the former flower room beside the sanctuary.  Questions, see Joel Beachy.

<p>Children, check your mailboxes today for the new issue of Mennonite Central Committee's magazine, <i>Hello</i>!  In this issue you will meet Chanita Lama from Nepal.

<p>The worship planning team meets next Sunday afternoon at 1:30 in the library.  If you have ideas or suggestions for worship services, please talk to Jeff Landis, worship elder, or any member of the worship planning team.
 
<p>There will be a meeting of the Elder/Pastor Team on Tuesday at 8:30 in the church library.  If you have concerns for this group, please talk to Jeff Landis.
