ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is the third Sunday in our series on Evangelism, which is part of God's Call for Jubilee. Today's theme: Living in a way that makes people ask questions.

Today's pot luck is in honor of the Schiedel family. We wish them God's blessing as they go to live, work, and minister in other places. We will miss you.

This Week at Jubilee...

Upcoming Events

--------------------------

We are excited about a baptism service next Sunday, August 24, at 3:00 at Pine Lake Camp. Maria Diener, LaQuesha Earl, Amy Seibel, Brian Thompson, and Matthew Tucker will officially give their lives to God and become part of Jubilee that day. Gerri Thompson will become a member that day also. Questions about the service? Talk to Duane or Elaine Maust.

Please find a copy of God's Call for Jubilee in your mailboxes. This document, which has been adapted from your suggestions, will be presented at the meeting on Wednesday night. Questions? Talk to someone on the Pastors/Elders Team.

The Believers Class is beginning again! Would you like to become a member of Jubilee? Are you ready to give your life to God? Would you like to explore the possibility of baptism? Talk to Duane or Elaine about joining the Believers Class.

The Worship Committee invites Jubilee to consider hosting a block party for the neighborhood and for friends. At the Congregational Meeting on Wednesday, there will be an opportunity to indicate if you are interested in the party and to ask questions. For more information, please talk to Elaine Maust.

Information about Family Camp is posted on the bulletin board next to the office. Family Camp is a Gulf States Conference activity on Labor Day weekend at Pine Lake Camp. The theme for the sessions is Building Strong Families. Luke and Gayle Myers, who both work in counseling, will be the speakers. Everyone is welcome to attend all or any part of the weekend. You only need to make reservations if you'd like to stay overnight. Questions, see Lisa Shelly.

Jubilee is responsible for the Sunday meal at Family Camp on August 31. The hospitality committee is coordinating the planning, purchasing, preparation, serving, and clean-up. Thanks to those who have given a donation toward the meal costs. If you haven't given yet and would like to, please give your contribution to Jan Reynolds by August 24. Questions, see Jan.

The August issue of Jubilee's newsletter, Where We Are, is in your mailbox.

Happy Birthday to Dee Colton (Aug 20)!
